Northumbrian Water Group (NWG) – Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Framework Forum are this year’s winners of the Constructing Excellence National Award for Health, Safety and Wellbeing!
The HSE Framework Forum provides an opportunity for Northumbrian Water Group and their partner organisations which include, Esh_MWH, amongst others to engage, collaborate and improve health, safety and environmental performance throughout their current programme of works.
After winning the Constructing Excellence NE regional award back in June this year, the NWG Health, Safety and Environment Framework Forum were amongst eight other finalists in the category ‘Health, Safety and Wellbeing’ at the Nationals.
The HSE Framework Forum were delighted to be crowned overall winners at the annual showcase of the Constructing Excellence National Awards, held in London, on Friday 17th November 2017.
For Northumbrian Water Group, the promotion of Health and Safety issues and the avoidance of accidents or exposure to any hazardous environments is a fundamental requirement for all stakeholders. From the outset, the Forum has been about openness, honesty and one of shared responsibility, with strong leadership and camaraderie throughout.
Key to delivering the highest standard of health, safety, environmental and wellbeing performance is the Zero Harm vision: Everyone has a right to go home safely at the end of every day.
The recognition the HSE Framework Forum has received through these awards is much deserved and is an acknowledgement of the contribution all the Framework Forum Partners have made.
Chris Sutton, Director of Safety, Health and SHEQUAL at MWH, now part of Stantec, said “We are truly delighted to receive this National Award from Constructing Excellence. We are proud to be recognised as having an innovative approach to health and safety through the creation of this forum and we are committed to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of everybody involved in the framework.”
